Fancy growing something without knowing exactly what you are going to get?
Our Surprise Currant Bush will be either a redcurrant or a whitecurrant, with the final colour remaining a mystery until the bush produces its fruit.
Whichever arrives, you will receive an established currant bush capable of producing generous crops of berries for eating fresh, desserts, pies, jellies and preserves.
These are normally supplied as two-year-old bare-root bushes with a minimum of three strong shoots, giving you a well-established plant ready to grow on.
What Toby thinks:
This is just a bit of fun and a great option if you are not worried about a particular variety. You get a good established currant bush and then have to wait until fruiting time to find out whether you've got red or white berries.
Why choose a Surprise Currant?
Red or white currant
Established two-year-old bush
Minimum of three strong shoots
Productive garden fruit
Great for fresh eating and cooking
A bit of mystery for your fruit patch
