'Hinnonmaki Red' is a mid season gooseberry that produces a heavy crop of large berries.  The fruit is deep red where the skin tastes tangy and the inside is sweet. This variety is hardy to frosts and resistant to mildew.
 
These are usually supplied as 2 year old bushes with a minimum of 3 shoots.
 
The fruit from this variety is fantastic for desserts, bottling and preserve making.
