The Cambridge Favouite strawberry plant is one of the UKs most loved and well known strawberry varieties. It is loved for its tolerance of most growing situations as well as its good flavour and soft flesh. This makes it one of the best varieties for jam making. It is also a heavy cropper with a good resistance to mildew and botrytis, producing mid sized orange to red coloured fruit with exceptional flavour.
 
Our Cambridge Favourite strawberry plants are supplied as a bare root runners. This means they are new plants less than 1 year old not in soil. They have been inspected and certified as disease and pest free under the FPCS by APHA.  This involves both the mother plants and the runners being walked and inspected by DEFRA inspectors to make sure the plants are as healthy as they can be.
